About Yorkie Hub

Yorkie Hub was started to bring together like-minded fanciers of the breed. The group is for Yorkshire Terrier owners, breeders and fanciers to talk about their yorkies. More indepth conversations might include health, genetics, standard and showing our yorkies.

Members are here to share their experiences and knowledge. Equal respect will be given to those that are new to yorkies and those with experience.

We do not condone...

* mixing of breeds
* purposeful breeding of "off-colored" yorkies
* breeding for "teacups"

There is a "no tolerance" policy for these behaviors or the promotion of them, and are grounds for immediate removal from Yorkie Hub. This is where we are very different from several yorkie forums who lack the needed respect for the breed.

We support the Yorkshire Terrier as a purebred dog and breeders who are looking to better the health of the breed and conform to the standard as approved by the YTCA.

We welcome with open arms those that are are in love with the yorkie breed they way we are. Feel free to talk, share and ask questions.

To ensure that Yorkie Hub is able to hold true to our mission we have a few easy rules to follow. These rules are in place for the benefit of all members.

1. No flaming, personal attacks or disrespectful behavior towards other members or those involved in the fancy will be tolerated.

2. New members MUST introduce themselves within 48 hours of joining in the "Welcome New Members" section, located right below the rules..

3. No copying of posts or pictures without the written consent of the original poster. All images and content are copyright protected.

4. Members are to remain active. Lurkers are not welcome, they do not add anything positive to the group and only take up valuable space for members who are truly interested in participating in the group. Please do not join if you are just interested in creating gossip or just nosy. These behaviors do nothing for the breed and only create problems.

5. Every post is required to be signed with your first name.
(This can be done automatically by editing your signature...if you need help just ask.)

6. Members are encouraged not to hide their online status. If you hide your status it may be changed by admin at any time.

7. Yorkie Hub Administrators reserve the right to refuse membership to or remove membership of any members for any reason!

8.) NO advertising of puppies for sale...this is not the classifieds. Yorkie Hub is home to many wonderful breeders, however all puppy inquiries should be done via e-mail. Breeders are encouraged to share new litters and their experiences with everyone. Breeders are welcome to post their puppy pictures as often as they would like! The discussion of available puppies and specifics should be done privately through pm's or e-mail.

9.) Please do not join only to ask for votes for your dog in a contest...regular members who post at least on a weekly basis are more than welcome to ask their friends to help out their little one in a contest.

Violation of any of the rules above will result in a warning, suspension or expulsion from Yorkie Hub at the discretion of Admin. It is our main goal here to treat everyone with absolute kindness and respect! That said we do encourage our members to discuss whatever is on their mind, we hope to have some great discussions about our furkids!
